Pressure Independent Oxygen Flow Metering
SOFT is a digital oxygen flowmeter where measurement accuracy is not affected by inlet gas pressure. Traditional ball oxygen flowmeters must operate at 50 psig to be accurate. Inattentiveness to this pressure can lead to large errors in flow measurement. An example is where a ball flow meter indicted a flow of 10 liters/min was actually over 17 liters/min resulting in over oxygenation. The cause, the oxygen regulator outlet pressure was set to over 100 psig!
Use More of the Oxygen in the Cylinder

Digital Flow Measurement Accuracy
The thin film semiconductor flow sensor used in SOFT is highly accurate to 2% of rate. A digital display shows flow in standard volume units independent of pressure. Oxygen measurement range is 0-20 standard liters per minute.
High Resolution Flow Control Valve
Stability of oxygen metering is a function of the flow measurement technology and the flow control valve. SOFT units are equipped with a multi turn needle valve with markings indicating the number of turns of the needle.
Battery Powered
SOFT uses 4 standard AA batteries making installation very simple.
